OK2GO records an agreement between two people. Each of you confirms who you are with a photo taken in the app, passes a short sobriety check, and signs on your own screen from your own account. Both of you end up holding the same timestamped record of what was agreed and when.

Making a record costs nothing. Both of you can create it, complete it and read it back for free. Sealing it costs $9.99 once — a permanent copy for each of you, kept for 7 years, with a status page that shows anyone you show it to whether it still stands. Either of you can pay, before or after, and there is no deadline and no subscription. If sealing was not worth it, write to us and we refund it. No questions, no form, no deadline. Refunding returns the money; the sealed copies you both hold, and the status page printed on them, are unaffected.

Kept for 7 days unless sealed. Both of you can open it in your dashboard for that whole time and read every line of it; when the 7 days are up the record is deleted, photos and signatures included, because we would rather delete data than sit on it. A sealed record follows the other rule. Kept for 7 years. Either person can delete their own copy sooner; the other person's copy is unaffected.

Yes. Either person, at any time, with one tap and no reason given. The other person is told, and the record is permanently marked withdrawn — including on the status page printed on a sealed copy, so anyone who is shown that copy can check for themselves that it no longer stands. A withdrawal always overrides the record.

Yes, and that is the point. The apps that came before OK2GO passed one phone between two people, which meant one person could stand over the other while they tapped. Here the second person completes their half from their own account, in their own email, on their own device, with no deadline and no countdown on either screen. An invitation nobody acts on lapses with the unsealed record, and the person who started it is never told it was declined. None of this makes pressure impossible — it removes the specific design that made pressure easy.

We do not know, and nobody does. As far as anyone has been able to find, no record from any app in this category has ever been used in a court case anywhere, and how one would be treated depends entirely on where you live. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. The narrower thing we will say is true: a record shows that two identified people, each having confirmed they are 18 or older and each having passed a sobriety screening, agreed to something specific at a specific minute, and that both have held the same copy ever since.

Four things, plainly. It cannot show what happened after the record was made — a record made at nine says nothing about five past. It cannot detect pressure; someone pushed into completing this produces a record that looks exactly like a freely made one. It cannot override a withdrawal. A short reaction test in the app, about thirty seconds, taken by both of you. It is a screening, not a medical or legal judgement of capacity — no app can make that judgement, and the record says so. If either of you does not pass, the flow stops there and no record is produced. There is no option to continue anyway.

Yes. OK2GO is for people aged 18 and over only. You confirm your age when you set up your account and again on every record you take part in, and that confirmation is printed on the sealed copy. If we find out an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete its data.

Only the two people named on one. Files are stored encrypted in private storage and opened through short-lived links. The status page on a sealed copy is the single exception, and it deliberately carries nothing personal: it shows only whether the record still stands or has been withdrawn, plus the timestamps. No names, no email addresses, no photos, no signatures. A stranger who opens it learns nothing about either of you. We never sell your data, and we share it only with the providers that help us run the app, or where the law requires it — see our Privacy Policy.

Yes — either of you can delete your own copy of a record from your dashboard at any time, and you can ask us to delete your whole account. Deleting your copy never removes the other person's. Unsealed records delete themselves after 7 days whether you ask or not.
